Please contact me, I will like to know Where in South Carolina your are selling the cotton and the cover material to recycle?
At this moment I'm working for the The Mustard Seed of Central Florida, and with the help of Celia Walker from St. Vicent de Paul Society of Lane County, Inc. we are starting a mattress recycler. Up to this moment I have being able to find where to sell most of the comodities, but the cotton.

We have started using more ecologically friendly material in the production of our mattresses. We now offer Bamboo ticking and organic cottons in many of or beds rather than polyester fibers. At http://www.dfwfurniture.com/ we have also switched many beds to Soybased foams. These soybased foams reduce our dependence on foreign oil and help support the American Soybean farmers.

It's great that individual people are doing their part to help recycle but companies should also do the same as they affect more areas of the environment than individuals. A small part that companies could do is recycle their pallets and not throw them out. Pallets can be easily recycled to pallet repair companies which will fix and resell the pallet again.

Deterrent will kill bed bugs under certain very specific circumstances, but not all bed bugs. (The substance must reach a certain vapor pressure, which then causes an effect similar to fumigation, and this may only be attained in an airtight container). Naphthalene will not normally kill bed bugs, it is purely a deterrent. It will not deter all Bed Bugs either. I got demisted beetles (carpet beetles) in some stuff, and the bags were well dosed with naphthalene. They ate through the bags as well.
