Bowling Green looks to establish a recycling program

Bowling green city and Bowling Green State University are looking at ways in which they can become more sustainable with their waste and recycling mattresses is on the top of the list. Ohio Mattress is hoping to have some type of program worked out for them by Earth Day 2009, which is April 22, 2009.

Ohio Mattress Recovery and Recycling is working diligently to form a partnership to work with many of the state schools in New York to help establish a statewide mattress recycling program. The state colleges and universities of New York are currently landfilling thousands of mattresses each year that we are trying to collaborate on helping them to become more sustainable while also earning some money back for the college.

Giving Back to The Community

Ohio Mattress Recovery and Recycling will be working with Interfaith Hospitality Network. As our way of saying thanks to the people of Cleveland for helping our business to become successful we will be donating like new mattresses we receive to people in the communinty who have in one way or another fallen on hard times. We will also be making a monetary donation at the end of the summer using a portion of the proceeds from the recycled materials of our college and university recycling projects.

Ohio Mattress will be working with Fredonia University

Great news in the collegiate recycling world. Fredonia University has aggreed to work with Ohio Mattress Recovery and Recycling to work to keep mattresses out of landfills. We are very pleased to announce Fredonia University to be amongst the first colleges in the state of New York to be going green with their waste. We are very much looking for ward to the partnership with Fredonia in their efforts to go green in their housing efforts. Ohio Mattress Recovery and recycling will be donating 20% of the proceeds of the recycled materials back to the school and 10% of the proceeds back to a local community in both companies behalf.
